B3 Conference 2020 - postponed until early 2021
11 May 2020 - Te Papa, Wellington
B3 Conference 2020
Border biosecurity continues to be recognised as underpinning the economic prosperity and environmental health of New Zealand. The fourth B3 Conference will bring together the community of interest for plant border biosecurity research and uptake in New Zealand including government, industry and science (CRIs, universities) professionals and students.
The fourth B3 Conference will reinforce the importance of science for an effective border biosecurity system that ensures the safety and welfare of our natural environment, protects, retains and builds value in our important plant systems, provides investor confidence for continued sector growth and innovation and maintains market access for exports from our forestry, horticulture, arable and pastoral agriculture industries.
B3 will be recognising the International Year of Plant Health at its 2020 Conference and will be planning the programme around this theme. The International Year of Plant Health 2020 is a once in a lifetime opportunity to raise global awareness on how protecting plant health can help end hunger, reduce poverty, protect biodiversity and the environment, and boost economic development.
