Future Orchards® – The Future is now!

Join us this winter as we take a virtual stroll though several New Zealand apple orchards and hear what the best orchards are doing now and have planned for the future.

What you will see and learn while keeping your social distancing

  • Jonathan Brookes from AgFirst will explore current and future issues such as labour, trees, quality, climate and technology. 
  • Dr Nigel Swarts from TIA will provide a summary presentation on the learnings from PIPS II fertigation research project and launch the SINATA tool.
  • Your front line adviser Michael Crisera from Fruit Growers Victoria will provide an update on the latest trial being run in the Goulburn Valley.
  • Ross Wilson from Agfirst will take you on a virtual tour of six leading NZ orchards, discussing the pros and cons of different systems and demonstrating the latest critical winter tasks particularly winter pruning.
