As in other countries, Russia has seen a profound change in consumer habits. For some products, consumption decreases and for others consumption increases.



According to Rosstat data, Russians in 40 years have halved their potato consumption. In 1980 consumption reached 117 kg of potatoes per person per year, in 2018 only 59 kg / person / year.



In the same period, the Russians have increased their consumption of fruits and vegetables. In 1980 vegetable consumption reached 92 kg / person / year and in 2018 totaled 104 kg / person / year.



For fruits and berries, consumption increased from 35 kg / person / year in 1980 to 74 kg / person / year in 2018.
