The World Apple and Pear Association has given out a few new figures about Southern hemisphere apple production.

Outliers are apples like the Fuji, which is expected to see a 22% growth in 2019 compared to 2018, or a +10% percentage difference between F2019 and the average of 2016-2017-2018.

Another remarkable prediction is the 7% drop in Australian pear production (-4% compared to 2016-2018 average).

The overall apple production in Argentina is forecast to go up 9%, with Brazil reaching +5%, but Chile’s production dropping by 5%. Argentina’s pear production will be up as well.
