Back to the news list Aus: Department to hold information session on US
2 December 2020 - Media Release - APAL

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (DAWE) recently released the Draft report for the review of biosecurity import requirements for fresh apple fruit from the Pacific Northwest states of the US.

They are inviting stakeholders to submit comments on the draft report by 21 January 2021.

As part of the public consultation period, DAWE is hosting an industry information session via videoconference on Tuesday 8 December at 2pm (AEDT).

This session is an opportunity to discuss the draft report and to ask any questions you have about the technical information in the report.

If you would like to attend, please register for the event here.

There will be the opportunity to ask questions during the information session, but you are also welcome to email your questions to the department at plantstakeholders@agriculture.gov.au ahead of time and they will answer them during the session.

APAL has formed an advisory group of technical experts and industry advisors who are preparing a response to the report.
